On our YouTube channel you can watch the video of the talk “Reactive DDD—Modeling Uncertainty” presented by Vaughn Vernon during our meetup “An Evening With” (Milan, June 2018).

I met Vaughn at the first edition of DDD Summit in Portland in May 2011. His competence on architecture and methodologies, and on technology, got me instantly. I could also appreciate Vaughn’s spirit and his eye for detail in finding a point where all ideas being expressed could meet (and not getting lost in ideological debate).

Therefore it was no surprise when I found out he ventured in the monumental undertaking of writing a new chapter of the history of Domain-Driven Design. This was going towards the direction of filling a gap Eric left empty when he announced there wouldn’t have been a second edition of the so called “blue book”.

If you’re interested in discovering the thousands of faces of what’s behind the delivery of a Domain-Driven Design, or of good software in general, then Vaughn is your man.

Alberto Brandolini
