Come raggiungere l’Istituto Piero Pirelli

IN AUTO

Dal centro città
Il modo più comodo per raggiungere l’Istituto e trovare parcheggio, se si percorre Viale Suzzani dal centro di Milano in direzione della periferia, è seguire questo percorso:

  • svoltare in via Goffredo da Bussero
  • dopo 50 metri svoltare nella prima a sinistra, via Luigi Beccali, via chiusa che porta al parcheggio dell’Istituto Pirelli
  • appena imboccata Via Beccali parchegguare l’auto al primo posto disponibile.

L’Istituto si trova a pochi metri, sulla destra di Via Beccali.

Se utilizzi il navigatore, inserisci Via Luigi Beccali 4, e non Viale Fulvio Testi.

Parcheggio: puoi parcheggiare la tua auto o la tua moto nei parcheggi non custoditi al di fuori dell’Istituto, e puoi pagare per la tua sosta utilizzando le colonnine automatiche (meglio se con monete) situate al di fuori dell’Istituto stesso.

Dall’autostrada
Dall’autostrada MI/VE, uscita Cinisello-Sesto S. Giovanni, seguire direzione Milano, sempre dritto, immettersi su viale Fulvio Testi (Milano), dopo il semaforo di Via Ponale avanti 100 m. prima del semaforo successivo.

I ticket per il parcheggio sono disponibili presso la Reception dell’Istituto.

Il centro città di Milano è raggiungibile da tre diversi aeroporti: Linate, Malpensa, e Bergamo Orio al Serio.

DA linate (LIN)

In autobus
Prendere il bus Linate Shuttle / AirBus, che parte ogni 30 minuti circa, in direzione Milano Centrale (i biglietti si possono acquistare a bordo, meglio se in contanti, o a questo link). A seconda delle condizioni del traffico, il viaggio dovrebbe durare circa 25 minuti.

In treno
Prendere il treno Malpensa Express, che parte ogni 30 minuti circa, in direzione Milano Garibaldi (i biglietti si possono comprare negli appositi distributori automatici, o a questo link). Il viaggio dovrebbe durare circa un’ora.

IN METRO

I biglietti per utilizzare la Metropolitana di Milano si possono comprare negli appositi distributori automatici. Il prezzo di una corsa singola è 2,00€ ed è valido per 75 minuti.

Da Milano Centrale
Il tempo di percorrenza dalla Stazione Milano Centrale all’Istituto Pirelli in metro è di circa 30 minuti. La fermata a cui scendere è Ponale.

  • Prendere la linea M3 (linea gialla), direzione Comasina.
  • Scendere alla fermata Zara per cambiare metro e prendere M5 (linea lilla), direzione Bignami.
  • Scendere alla fermata Ponale. Una volta arrivati ai tornelli della metro, prendere l’uscita a destra “V. Ponale” (che ha le scale mobili), uscire e lasciarsi il semaforo alle spalle.
  • Proseguire a piedi (per 5 minuti) verso viale Fulvio Testi 223.

Da Milano Garibaldi
Il tempo di percorrenza dalla Stazione Milano Garibaldi all’Istituto Pirelli in metro è di circa 10 minuti. La fermata a cui scendere è Ponale.

  • Prendere M5 (linea lilla), direzione Bignami.
  • Scendere alla fermata Ponale. Una volta arrivati ai tornelli della metro, prendere l’uscita a destra “V. Ponale” (che ha le scale mobili), uscire e lasciarsi il semaforo alle spalle.
  • Proseguire a piedi (per 5 minuti) verso viale Fulvio Testi 223.

IN TAXI

Il centro di Milano è raggiungibile in taxi da tutti e tre gli aeroporti. Le tariffe variano, e vanno da 25€ (taxi da/per Linate) a 100€ (taxi da/per Malpensa).

I taxi a Milano sono gialli, hanno un’insegna gialla sul retro e una luce con su scritto “TAXI” sul tettuccio. È fatto divieto di fermare i taxi per strada, per cui è raccomandato preontare un taxi in uno dei seguenti tre modi:

  • tramite app (Free Now e appTaxi),
  • attendendo il proprio turno in uno degli stand identificati da un segnale arancione e la scritta “TAXI”,
  • chiamando una delle varie agenzie che operano a Milano (+39 02 4040 / +39 02 5353 / +39 02 6969 / +39 02 8585).

UberX e UberPool non sono disponibili all’interno del centro di Milano. L’unico tipo di auto che può essere prenotato con Uber è UberBlack – il servizio premium, il più caro. Visita il sito di Uber qui.
Servizi di noleggio taxi come Bolt e Cabify, molto diffusi in Europa, non operano a Milano.

Orientarsi a Milano

Un’ottima app per orientarsi a Milano è CityMapper, utile sia per andare a piedi che per farsi un’idea su quale mezzo pubblico prendere.

Con una vasta scelta di musei e luoghi storici da visitare, non c’è che l’imbarazzo della scelta quando si vuole scoprire Milano.
Se da un lato è consigliato visitare le strade del centro storico a piedi, dall’altro lato il sistema dei trasporti è moderno ed efficiente, con quattro linee della metropolitana, tram e bus, oltre a collegamenti ad altre città limitrofe con il treno.

Il Sistema di Trasporto Pubblico Milanese (ATM)

Il sistema di trasporto pubblico milanese si chiama ATM: Azienda Trasporti Milanesi. I biglietti funzionano su tutto il network: metropolitana, bus, tram e anche sui treni extraurbani all’interno dei confini cittadini (passanti).

Un biglietto singolo è valido per 75 minuti e costa 2€. Il biglietto giornaliero costa 7€ e quello per tre giorno 12€.

Servizi Sharing a Milano: Auto, Bici e Scooter

Sono presenti numerosi servizi sharing a Milano, tra cui bici, auto e scooter. Tra i più popolari vi sono BikeMi e Mobike per le bici, MiMoto per gli scooter e ShareNow per le auto.

In Macchina

Milano è attualmente la città con la più grande ZTL in Europa, disposizione che fa parte di un progetto volto a ridurre l’inquinamento dell’aria.
In linea di massima, meglio non avventurarsi all’interno della città di Milano in macchina. Se si arriva a Milano in macchina, è consigliato parcheggiarla nei pressi di una stazione della metropolitana al di fuori della città di Milano e poi utilizzare il trasporto pubblico per raggiungere il centro.

How to get to the Pirelli Institute

BY CAR

If you’re already in Milan
In order to get to the Institute and find a parking slot more easily, once you’re in Milan get into Viale Suzzani and get into via Goffredo da Bussero. After 50 m, take the first left, called via Luigi Beccali, which is a dead-end road leading to the Pirelli Institute’s parking lot. The Institute is located on the right hand side of via Beccali.

If you’re using the GPS, type in via Beccali, and NOT viale Fulvio Testi.

Parking: you can park your car or motorbike just outside the Pirelli Institute (the parking space is on the street and it’s unguarded). Please make sure you have some coins/change so that you can purchase your parking ticket from the automatic vending machines located in the street/parking area.

From the highway/Autostrada MI/VE
Take the exit “Cinisello-Sesto S. Giovanni”, keep on driving straight towards Milano, and get into viale Fulvio Testi (Milano). You’ll find a traffic light in via Ponale. Keep driving into viale Fulvio Testi and you’ll find the Pirelli Institute just before the next traffic light.

Parking tickets are available at a fee at the Pirelli Institute’s Reception Desk.

FROM THE AIRPORT

You can get to Milan City Centre by flying in to one of these three airports: Linate, Malpensa, e Bergamo Orio al Serio.

If you arrive in Linate (LIN)

By Bus
Take the Linate Shuttle / AirBus service, departing every 30 minutes approx, towards Milano Centrale (you can get the tickets on board, better if with cash). Depending on traffic, the trip should last about 25 minutes.

If you arrive in MALPENSA (MPX)

By Train
You can take the Malpensa Express Train, departing every 30 minutes approx, towards Milano Garibaldi (you can get the tickets at the vending machines at the station, or buy them online here).

Please do bear in mind that if you buy a physical ticket you will need to validate it by using the machines provided in the station before boarding on the train.
If the machines are not available/not working, do reach out to the train staff when you get on the train.

By Bus

If you arrive in bergamo orio al serio (BGY)

By Bus
Take the Orio al Serio Shuttle Service Line 1, departing every 30 minutes approx, towards Milano Centrale (you can get the tickets on board, better if with cash, or buy them online here). Depending on traffic, the trip should last about 1 hour.

BY METRO

You can get the tickets for Milan’s Metropolitan service at the vending machines located in each station. A single ticket costs 2,00€.

From Milano Centrale
It takes approx 30 minutes to get from Milano Centrale (Main Rail Station) to the Pirelli Institute. You need to get off at Ponale.

  • Take the M3 (yellow line) towards Comasina.
  • Get off at the Zara stop, change line and take the M5 (lilac line) towards Bignami.
  • Get off at the Ponale stop. Once you get to the exit gates of the metro, take the exit on the right, called “V. Ponale” (you can get to street level via escalators), get out of the metro and leave the traffic lights behind you.
  • Walk for approx 5 minutes towards viale Fulvio Testi 223.

From Milano Garibaldi
It takes approx 10 minutes to get from Milano Garibaldi to the Pirelli Institute. You need to get off at Ponale.

  • Take the M5 (lilac line) towards Bignami.
  • Get off at the Ponale stop. Once you get to the exit gates of the metro, take the exit on the right, called “V. Ponale” (you can get to street level via escalators), get out of the metro and leave the traffic lights behind you.
  • Walk for approx 5 minutes towards viale Fulvio Testi 223.

BY TAXI

Milan City center can also be reached by taxi from all three airports. Fares range from 25€ (to/from Linate) to 100€ (to/from Malpensa).
Milan city taxis are white, have a medallion on the back and a “TAXI” light on top. Street hailing is forbidden, so taxis can be requested via apps like Free Now and appTaxi, at a taxi stand marked by an orange sign, or by calling one of the taxi company phone lines (+39 02 4040 / +39 02 5353 / +39 02 6969 / +39 02 8585).

UberX and UberPool do not operate within Milan City Limits due to legal restrictions. The only cars that can be requested through Uber are UberBlack – the expensive premium service. Check out Uber’s webpage here.
Other popular European taxi hail services like Bolt and Cabify do not operate in Milan.

Getting around in Milan

Milan Public Transport System

Milan’s public transit system is ATM: Azienda Trasporti Milanesi. Tickets work for the entire system: metro, buses, trams and even suburban rail within city limits.
Single ride tickets, valid for 75 minutes including transfers, cost 2€. An unlimited use 1-day ticket costs 7€ and a 3-day ticket costs 12€.

Milan Shared Mobility

There are numerous shared mobility services in Milan, including bicycles, cars and mopeds. Popular services are BikeMi and Mobike for bicycles, MiMoto for mopeds and ShareNow for cars.

Car

Milan is now home to Europe’s largest traffic-restricted zone, as part of an initiative to reduce pollution. We do not recommend traveling around within city limits by car. If you are reaching Milan by car, consider parking at a metro station outside city limits and riding transit into the city center.
