Gien is a consultant and software engineer specializing in Domain-Driven Design, domain modeling, and software architecture. With experience across multiple industries, including biotech and DNA system modeling, Gien combines advanced technical skills with a strong ability to bridge gaps between domain experts, users, and engineers.
Gien Verschatse is the co-author of the book Collaborative Software Design.
She is fluent in both object-oriented and functional programming, mainly in .NET, applying her expertise to help teams and organizations design complex, adaptive, and sustainable software systems.
Gien regularly shares her knowledge as a speaker at international conferences, covering software architecture, Domain-Driven Design, domain modeling, and decision-making processes for technical teams. And when she is not doing all that, you’ll find her on the sofa, reading a book and sipping coffee.
